15 years of BBQ, community, and showing up — rain or shine.

It all started on Patriots Day weekend, 2010. A competitive cooking team from Northeastern Massachusetts, a town green steeped in American history, and a dream to bring the community together over great food and cold beer. The weather that first year? Let's just say it wasn't pretty. But the people showed up anyway — and so did we.

That scrappy first festival planted the seeds for what the Lexington Battle Green BBQ Fest has grown into: one of the area's most beloved annual gatherings, celebrating the arrival of spring with legendary BBQ, craft beer, live music, and the kind of good-time energy that only happens when a whole community decides to show up in the same place at the same time.

The festival is organized by Meat@Slim's, the competitive cooking team founded by Steve Eastridge, whose passion for craft beer, BBQ, and great times with friends has been the heartbeat of this event from day one. What started as a love of food and community has grown into something far bigger — a signature spring tradition that brings Lexington together every year.
